Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, 2016, BFA Track & Field 2016 TshirtOur athletic director sent me the design idea as well as the first 3 vintage illustrations for Track & Field events. He tasked me with mimicking the style to create an original illustration to match featuring a girl throwing discus. To be clear, the only part of this design that I did was the bottom right quadrant. Our director arranged them with the chosen typeface.

This was a collaborative project; I brainstormed the idea of incorporating the architecture of the event venue with a colleague first. Sketched it out a few times in charcoal on drawing paper, scanned it, then digitally painted and arranged the graphics and type. My colleague critiqued and directed me for the details and subtle placement decisions.

Typographic illustration for Jared DeFriese's senior presentation at John Brown University, a musical worship session he planned and designed around the theme "Desert Exposure." This is a phrase from the lyrics of a song he included in his ensemble.
